GlobalYeast selected as a finalist for the Brazilian Bioeconomy Prize

GlobalYeast was selected as a finalist for the 2019 edition of the Brazilian Bioeconomy Prize

The winners will be announced during the Brazilian Bioeconomy Event, organized by ABBI.

The finalists for the 2019 Brazilian Bioeconomy Prize were announced by the Brazilian Association for Bioinnovation (ABBI). The three finalists from each category were chosen by a multidisciplinary panel of judges with national and international representatives from academia, investors, non-governmental organizations, funds and from the sponsors Braskem, DSM, Novozymes, and Raízen.

The XL4N solution was chosen in the category start-ups and scale-ups and is one of our yeasts which provide high performance for first-generation ethanol (E1G).

“The solutions presented by all of the finalists are inspiring and bring Brazilian entrepreneurship to the next level, beyond the digital universe and the traditional ideas. The selected companies have an enormous potential of accelerating, transforming and consolidating the advanced Brazilian bioeconomy.” – Bernardo Silva, President of ABBI.

The winners of the prize will be announced on Thursday, the 8th of August, 2019. Independent of winning the final prize on Thursday, GlobalYeast is proud of the hard and excellent work of the team!
